About the shoots

The aim of this project was to create an online exhibition, centred around striking make-up and hair shoots, simultaneously demonstrating an awareness of anti-bullying.

Fenella's Make-up & Hair sought to illustrate and highlight issues of bullying, through the use of make up, to produce trendy images that will resonate with young people.

After lots of feedback from focus groups, it was clear, people continually had lots of ideas and different concepts about these final exhibition designs. This has resulted in the decision to leave the images open for interpretation; there are many meanings to the final photographs, but the images of work displayed are left for the viewer is to interpret as they like.

The intended outcome of this project is to raise a target of £2,000 in aid of the BeatBullying charity and to get across the message of this exhibition;

‘Be who you want to be’

There are many photographers, and models that contributed to the success of this exhibition gallery, to which I am very grateful.

I would like to thank my lecturers at Solent for their encouragement and support, and also a special thanks to Mark Hetherington & James Cooke, for all their hard work at making this site possible.

Finally, special thanks to Beatbullying for their help and support during this project
